Agents saw a large panel of local and southern buyers compete strongly throughout the sale, with particularly strong demand for heavier cattle. Please note that the averages in this report have been compared with the May Feature Sale, with solid gains recorded across all descriptions.
Highlights
Caldwell Family Trust “Wyesby” Rolleston – Sold Angus feeder steers weighing 444 kgs to top the feeder market at 548.2c/kg to return $2,434/head.
LHW Rural “Lake Huffer” Aramac – Sold Charolais cross feeder steers weighing 439 kgs which made 518.2c/kg to retrun $2,275/head.
Skyview Farming “Glenidol” Clermont – sold Charolais cross feeder steers weighing 490 kgs which made 516.2c/kg to return $2,529/head. They also sold Charolais x feeder heifers weighing 401 kgs which made 496.2c/kg to return $1,993/head.
Paradise Pastoral Group “The Springs” Aramac – sold Charolais cross feeder heifers weighing 434 kgs which made 506.2c/kg to return $2,200/head.
J & T Cattle “Orville Park” Capella – Sold Droughtmaster feeder steers weighing 416 kgs which made 504.2c/kg to return $2,100/head.
Spelta Pastoral “Bella Vista” Yamala – Sold Simmental cross weaner steers weighing 289 kgs which made 579.2c/kg to return $1,677/head. Their weaner heifers weighed 283 kgs which made 430.2c/kg to return $1,219/head.
Spelta Grazing “Lillyvale” Dingo – Sold Simmental cross weaner steers weighing 300 kgs which made 551.2c/kg to return $1,657/head. Their weaner heifers weighed 310 kgs which made 430.2c/kg to return $1,333/head.
FA & BC Spannagle “Ridgeview” Yamala – Sold Angus weaner steers weighing 283 kgs which made 568.2c/kg to return $1,608/head.
I.D Robertson “Dunloe” Emerald – Sold Hereford cross weaner steers weighing 294 kgs which made 550.2c/kg to return $1,620/head. Their heifers weighed 269 kgs which made 438.2c/kg to return $1,180/head.
Mark & Wendy Tasker “Lowestoft” Capella – Sold Brangus weaner steers weighing 363 kgs which made 533.2c/kg to return $1,937/head. Their weaner heifers weighed 350 kgs which made 442.2c/kg to return $1,547/head.
