Emerald Prime & Store Sale – 11th June 2026
The Emerald Combined Cattle Sale this week saw a quality yarding of 1,334 head. Cattle were drawn from local and surrounding areas, along with one consignment from Nebo. This week’s offering was made up predominantly of prime and heavy-weight cattle, store numbers were limited due to the Feature Weaner and Feeder Sale being held on Tuesday. All usual meatworks buyers were in attendance and operating in a firm to slightly softer market. Bullocks topped at 446.2c/kg to average 430c/kg whilst a good supply of heavy cows topped at 390c/kg to average 374c/kg. Prime heavy heifers reached a top of 424.2c/kg to average 401c/kg whilst heavy bulls reached 412.2c/kg to average 382c/kg. The store yarding today was very limited in supply, type and quality and aren’t able to be quoted against recent sales.
Highlights
LHW Rural “Lake Huffer” Aramac, sold Charolais x bullocks weighing 638 kgs which made 431.2c/kg to return $2,754/head.
Rostron Grazing “The Grove” Alpha, sold a large line of Droughtmaster x cows topping at 390.2c/kg with the lead pen weighing 647 kgs which made 388c/kg to return $2,512/head.
Rostron Grazing “Leichhardt” Aramac, sold a large line of Charolais/Droughtmaster x cows topping at 390.2c/kg with the lead pen weighing 629 kgs which made 388c/kg to return $2,441/head.
W.H Kettle & Co “Kulumur” Emerald, sold Brahman x cows weighing 650 kgs which made 377.2c/kg to return $2,451/head.
FA & BC Spannagle “Ridgeview” Yamala, sold Angus x cows weighing 632 kgs which made 372.2c/kg to return $2,352/head.
Gladys Holmes “ Alamay ” Yamala, sold Angus cross cows weighing 703 kgs which made 366.2c/kg to return $2575/head.
Godwin Smith Group “ Yarrai ” Springsure, sold Droughtmaster cross cows weighing 735 kg which made 360.2c/kg to return $2647/head.
Iain Robertson “ Dunloe ” Emerald, sold Brangus cows weighing 625 kg which made 375.2c/kg to return $2345/head.
