Emerald Prime & Store Sale – 02/07/2026
Emerald Combined Agents saw a mixed-quality yarding of 1,320 head come to hand. Cattle were drawn from local and surrounding areas, with one consignment making the trip down from Nebo. All regular meatworks buyers were in attendance however competition was selective throughout the offering. This resulted in a general softening across most descriptions, reflecting a trend seen across several selling centres throughout the state. Prime cattle dominated the yarding, with a large consignment of medium-weight bullocks being offered today. Bullocks over 500kg reached a top of 430.2c/kg to average 409c/kg, while heavy feeder steers over 500kg fell in this category, topping at 486.2c/kg and averaged in the early four-dollar range. Heavy cows over 520kg topped at 368.2c/kg to average 336c/kg, while heavy prime heifers reached 400c/kg. The store yarding was mixed in quality, type and supply, with the upcoming Weaner and Feeder Sale holding numbers back until next Tuesday, making it difficult to quote against last week’s market. Feeder steers reached 492.2c/kg to average 398c/kg, while a very limited offering of weaner steers topped at 518c/kg to average 435c/kg. Feeder heifers sold to a top of 418c/kg, while a very mixed offering of weaner heifers topped at 418.2c/kg to average 339c/kg.

Raymond Cattle Company “Raymond” Springsure – Sold Santa Gertridis Cows making 359.2c/kg weighing 676kg to return $2428.19/head. They also sold a Santa Gertrudis bull making 410.2c/kg weighing 970kg to return $3978.94/head.
J & J Wolff Emerald – Sold Santa Gertrudis Cows making 354.2c/kg weighing 680kg to return $2408.56/head.
JAM Pastoral “Kui Downs” Capella – Consigned a large run of Brangus & Brahman bullocks, topping at 430.2c/kg for a pen of 2 tooth brangus steers.
B & S Ryan “Moola” Anakie – Sold Brangus cross feeder steers making 490.2c/kg weighing 458kg to return 2247.92/head.
Centurion Cattle Company “Glen Elgin” Bauhinia – Sold Santa cross weaner heifers making 418.2c/kg weighing 350kg to return $1463.70/head.
