Emerald Prime & Store Sale Market Report – 13/08/2026
Emerald Combined Agents yarded 1,590 head at today’s Prime and Store Sale. Cattle were drawn from local and surrounding districts, with consignments also travelling from Collinsville and Belyando area. Prime cattle made up the majority of the yarding. All regular meatworks buyers were in attendance and operating in a firm to slightly stronger prime market, with increases recorded across selected categories. Bullocks over 500kg reached a top of 415c/kg to average 399.4c/kg. Heavy cows remained well supplied with those over 520kg selling to a top of 355c/kg to average 330.8c/kg, whilst cows 450–520kg reached a top of 349c/kg to average 314c/kg. Heavy heifers to process sold to a top of 382.2 whilst Heavy bulls over 600kg sold to a top of 398.2 c/kg whilst bulls 450–600kg sold to a top of 354.2c/kg. Emerald saw limited and mixed quality store offering come to hand. Feeder steers sold to a top of 396.2c/kg. A mixed-quality offering of weaner steers reached 380.2c/kg, to average generally in the low-to-mid 300c/kg range. Feeder heifers topped at 394.2c/kg, while weaner heifers reached 340c/kg. One line of cows and calves were offered, selling to $1520/unit.

GH, MS & SJ SAUNDERS “ Medway Park ” Bogantungan – Sold Droughtmaster cross cows making 343.2 c/kg weighing 580 kg to return $ 1990.56/head
J & R WARREN “ Kendoone ” Blackwater – Sold Charbray cows making 325.2c/kg weighing 512kg returning $1666.65/head.
