The property does rise to good mixed black soil predominantly brigalow scrub country to reddish brown soil comprising predominantly blackbutt scrub in the south and north east with patches of lighter narrow leaf ironbark, wattle and bloodwood ridges to the north around the Capella-Rubyvale Road and south east corner. There is also a lancewood ridge with fringes of remnant brigalow on the eastern boundary situated on the northern bank of Theresa Creek.
